Pour la performance Isegoria, Sophie Castonguay a demandé à trente personnes de venir réciter le discours politique de leur choix dans l’Agora du Pavillon Judith-Jasmin. L’ensemble des discours récités simultanément formera un chœur de paroles.
Sophie Castonguay’s performance questions the function of an agora as a site where everyone has the right to speak and be heard. Since UQAM’s Agora does not allow interpersonal communication, she decides to rehabilitate the space’s traditional role by
creating an in-between space where those
muted voices will be heard again.
