Performances in situ à l’Agora Judith-Jasmin de l’UQAM

Intervalle, c’est une pause entre deux états dans l’espace de l’Agora du pavillon Judith-Jasmin. Par l’acte performatif, l’action et l’intervention éphémère, le projet vise à explorer le lieu par le biais de l’architecture et de ses diverses fonctions. Intervalle a l’ambition de redonner vie à un espace d’attente et de passage, trop souvent traversé à l’aveuglette.
Intervalle est une collaboration entre des étudiants de l’École d’arts visuels et médiatiques et du département d’histoire de l’art de l’UQAM. L’événement aura lieu le 25 novembre 2011 dès 12h30 et se déroulera jusqu’à 21h. Commissariat et organisation du projet Intervalle réalisés par Oriane Asselin-Van Coppenolle, Mélanie Beauchamp, Maud Borie, Julie Cecchetti, Mylène Chartrand, Alexandra Curodeau, Virginie Dumont, Virginie Franco, Mylène Gagnon, Florie Gaumond, Camille Lavallée Prairie, Geneviève Mainville, Johanne Marchand, Maude Nadeau, Maude Paul-Hénaire, Magalie Rouleau et Ingrid Valent. The performance series Intervalle, manifests itself like an in-between state of time and space in the Agora of the Judith-Jasmin pavilion at UQAM. Through a series of performative actions and ephemeral interventions the artists in Intervalle explore the specificity of the site and the architecture. Intervalle strives to reinvigorate a space that is both in waiting as well as in action, a space we pass through blindly, following our daily paths.
Intervalle is a collaboration between the students of the École d’art visuel et médiatiques and the students of the art history department at UQAM. The event will take place on November 25th between noon and 21.00.
